Job Description

Let It Grow, Inc., a leader in landscape and site construction, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves managing projects valued between $500,000 and $25 million, covering a broad spectrum from small to large-scale endeavors. Our projects include diverse settings such as universities, healthcare facilities, shopping malls, office buildings, retail spaces, luxury residential environments, parks, and open spaces.

The scope of work includes grading and earthwork, site utilities, site electric, cast-in-place concrete, complete streetscapes, luxury residential roof amenity spaces, ground-up parks and other site/civil scope items.

Project Planning:

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with upper management and stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans that outline the resources, budget, and timeline necessary to achieve project goals.

Resource Management:

  • Allocate and manage resources including personnel, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Identify resource needs and procure additional resources as necessary, often negotiating with vendors and suppliers.

Budget Management:

  • Prepare and oversee project budgets, ensuring all financial allocations are adhered to and adjusted as required.
  • Conduct regular cost analyses to track expenditures and make adjustments to stay within budgetary constraints.

Team Leadership and Staff Management:

  • Lead and manage project teams, providing direction and support to ensure that project goals are met.
  • Conduct performance reviews and motivate team members to achieve peak productivity and performance.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure that all aspects of the project meet specified quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
  • Implement quality control processes to monitor outcomes and address any issues that arise.

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all project-related communications, keeping all stakeholders informed of progress and any critical issues.
  • Manage client expectations and maintain strong relationships to ensure client satisfaction and potential future business.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Maintain an ongoing risk management plan that addresses potential obstacles and ensures project stability.

Compliance and Legal Oversight:

  • Ensure the project complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.
  • Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes that might impact project execution.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, project schedules, and compliance records.
  • Prepare detailed reports on project status, budgets, and outcomes for upper management and stakeholders.

Project Evaluation and Closure:

  • Conduct project evaluations to assess outcomes and identify lessons learned for future projects.
  • Manage project closeout processes, ensuring all contractual and operational commitments are fulfilled.

 

The ideal Let It Grow candidate will have the following:

  • 5-10 years of experience in project management, preferably in landscape or site construction.
  • Strong understanding of the construction and construction management process
  • Adept at problem-solving, negotiation and managing client relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, Civil Engineering, Landscape Industries, or a related field.
  • Procore experience (or similar program)
  • Possesses excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Exhibits strong organizational and communication skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
